In order to ensure highest possible quality in the iSolate nanotech hearing aids, ReSound subjected them to a series of Accelerated Stress Tests (AST) in order to provoke damage and malfunctions. These five-week tests involved exposing the hearing aids to extremely arduous treatment using salt water, and earwax-like substance and punishing wear and tear on all hearing aid elements. After the test there were no acoustic or visible faults on the coated hearing aids.
The hearing aids were also subjected to a realistic rain test designed to simulate conditions when worn by a user in heavy rain. Also after this test the results were remarkable - no visual impact and no corrosion.
