Tips for Pairing Unite Accessories

Short push?  Long push? What do I do?

Whenever pairing a Unite accessory with a ReSound Alera hearing instrument, you should “press and release” the pairing button.  A short push of the button is all that is required regardless of whether you are pairing from within Aventa or pairing outside of Aventa.  Pairing problems are likely to occur if you “press and hold” the pairing button.  Please disregard the message in Aventa that tells you to “press and hold” as this is an error that will be corrected in the future.

On the other hand, a long push is required when pairing a Unite Phone Clip with a mobile phone.  In this instance, you will need to start from the “off” position.  (To turn off the phone clip, you should “press and hold” the multifunction button on the side of the phone clip until you see a blue light blink four times and then go dark.)

Once the phone clip is turned off, press and hold the multifunction button for approximately 7 seconds.  The phone clip will be in pairing mode and ready to pair with your mobile phone once a solid blue light blinks once.  If you should release the button before this happens, turn off the phone clip and begin again.
