Dr. Kirkwood has an interdisciplinary background in the natural, behavioral, and applied sciences. Originally an electrical engineer with a master's degree in acoustics, he later completed a Ph.D. focusing on the perception of everyday sounds. Prior to joining GN ReSound, Dr. Kirkwood has worked as a Concept Developer for a smaller hearing aid company, as a Speech Technology Engineer in the automotive industry, and as a Market Analyst at a large healthcare corporation.
